MOVE THAT HOUSE!!
February provided a unique opportunity for Scott Shimberg Homes to participate in the Builder Team with Nationwide Custom Homes, a leading builder of high performance modular homes, in ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. This will be the first time the popular television program has featured a home built with modular construction during its intense one-week build time.
Because these homes are built in enviromentally-protected building centers with constant quality checks and then transported to the final home site, rain and other weather delays do no impact the building schedule. The home will use fewer utilites to heat, cool and operate. Built to accepted state and local building standards, with quality and customization in one week makes this convincing building technology.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", Scott Shimberg Homes and the other Builder Team members travelled to Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia to meet high school football coach Jeremy Williams and his wife Jennifer. Their son, Jacob, was diagnosed with Spina Bifida before he was born. Then, several years after Jacob's birth, Jeremy was diagonsed with Lou Gehrig's disease. Building a new custom home to replace the existing one that as falling apart around them was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the entire building team at Scott Shimberg Homes.
